Continuing the National Campaign Against Influenza of the Ministry of Health, the City of Itabuna, through the Municipal Health Department, will hold this Thursday, the 9th, from 4 pm to 7 pm, at Rede de Frio (former SAMU base) 192, in front of São José Cathedral), a special nighttime vaccination against influenza (Influenza virus) upon presentation of ID, CPF, SUS or Vaccination Card.

Immunization is aimed at people over six months of age, as recommended by the Ministry of Health, which also maintained priority for groups most vulnerable to complications from the flu: pregnant women, women who have recently given birth, the elderly, children under five years of age and people with comorbidities or special clinical conditions.

On this occasion, there will also be vaccination against dengue for children aged between 10 and 14 years old. Therefore, it is important that parents or guardians of children and adolescents have the necessary documents such as: ID, CPF or SUS and vaccination card.

The National Campaign Against Influenza for people six months old began on March 20th and runs until May 30th. During the week, from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 11 am and from 1 pm to 4 pm, doses are available in all health units. The best form of prevention is vaccination.
