Today, Warner Bros. Discovery has announced that the platform formerly known as HBO Max will be replaced by Max, an improved streaming service, which will launch in Europe on May 21st. Portugal is one of the first countries to receive this new feature, along with Spain, Nordic Countries and Central and Eastern Europe. Later, Max will arrive in France, Poland, Belgium and the Netherlands.

MAX STARTS ON MAY 21ST WITH DOUBLE THE CONTENT

This new Max platform brings together the world-class catalog of HBO Max, the immersive real-life entertainment of Discovery and all the world-class action of the premium subscription service Eurosport and the most relevant TV channels in selected countries in a single destination for the first time. turn.

The launch of Max in Europe is marked by the premiere of the highly anticipated second season of “House of the Dragon”, which arrives on June 17th. The platform will also bring a new streaming experience, with more than double the amount of content currently available on HBO Max. Users can watch content on two devices simultaneously.
The content will be available in Full HD resolution.
This plan allows for up to 30 downloads of content available to watch offline.

Premium Plan:

Provides the best consumer experience.
Users can watch content on up to 4 devices simultaneously.
Full HD or 4K resolution and with Dobly Atmos sound (when available).
This plan allows for up to 100 downloads of content available to watch offline. (Limits apply).

Sports Add-On Plan:

The Sports Add-On plan provides coverage of the best sporting events such as tennis Grand Slam tournaments, cycling Grand Tours, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, live linear Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 channels and much more.
Consumers should consult local programming to access rights available in their countries.
The Sports Add-On plan will be sold as a complement to the basic packages.
Users can watch sports content on 2 devices simultaneously (from the streams available on their base plan).

Basic Plan with Advertising:

This plan allows users to enjoy Max at a lower price and includes advertising.
It will first be available in nine European countries before expanding to the rest.
The first countries where the basic plan with advertising will be available will be: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Romania, Poland, France and Belgium.
