O Balmoral castle, Scotland, was Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite residence and was the place she chose to spend the last moments of her life. It has always been the most protected house of the British monarchy, but now King Charles III is ready to open the site’s doors to tourists in an attempt to raise more funds for the royal house.

According to ‘The Sun’, The 75-year-old monarch will allow visitors inside Balmoral Castle for the first time in history for a cost of 150 pounds (175 euros at the current exchange rate), in an attraction that will include the afternoon tea ritual.

Previously, tourists could only see the ballroom at Balmoral Castle, now it will be possible to see where the British royal family spends many of their more private celebrations. It is not yet known whether the exact room where Isabel II died will be open to the public, but many of the rooms where the former monarch rested will be open to visitors. “Travel back in time from the purchase of the Balmoral estate by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, to the present day, where you can see a selection of rooms within the castle that are used by Their Majesties the King and Queen and other members of the royal family,” the ad says.

There will be up to 40 visitors per day, to enjoy an “adults-only experience”.
