Charles III thus appointed Crown Prince William Grand Master of the Honorable Order of the Bath, a position that his father also held as Crown Prince, between 1974 and 2022. It is an order created by the King George I, in 1725, and which is awarded to members of the military or civil service for exemplary services.

Regarding his daughter-in-law, the king appointed Princess Kate as a Royal Companion of the Order of Companions of Honor, founded by the king George Vin 1917, to recognize exceptional achievements in the arts, sciences, medicine, and public service.

According to the newspaper DailyMail This is a gesture revealing the enormous sympathy, respect and admiration that Charles III has for his daughter-in-law, as this is the first time in a century that a member of the royal family has received this distinction. Of the 65 members from across the Commonwealth that make up this Order, there are names like those of Sir David Attenborough, Judi Dench, Ian McKellen, Maggie Smith, Roy Strong, Paul McCartney It is J.K.
