Sebastian Bugalho has stood out as a political commentator and, more recently, ctops the list for the European Democratic Alliance.

At 28 years old and in an interview with TVI he revealed: I was always in a hurry, I always wanted to do things”, a characteristic that was praised by the prime minister. The young man, son of journalists João Bugalho and Patrícia Reis, was still taking a Political Science course at the Institute of Political Studies of the Catholic University when he decided to write an opinion article in the newspaper I which led him to write a column in the publication .

“Newspapers are for me a pillar of democracy. As a democrat, it is a privilege to work for them”, he revealed in 2016, having subsequently been invited to be alongside José Miguel Júdice and Constança Cunha e Sá, later having a program with António Rolo Duarte, ‘Novos Fora Nada’, on TVI24.

In terms of social networks, he is active on social network X, where he has more than 50 thousand followers. But not everything is a bed of roses.

Sebastião Bugalho was investigated for domestic violence

Sebastião Bugalho was the protagonist of a totally different story in 2020 and saw the other side of media coverage when he was investigated for domestic violence against his girlfriend.

The complaint, which was filed by third parties, demonstrates a violent argument between the couple that allegedly led the young man’s girlfriend at the time to take refuge in the bathroom of a café in Lisbon. But it didn’t stop there: Sebastião managed to get into his building, having called two friends to ask for help. At the time, the police were called to the scene and the complaint continued as it was a public crime.

However, due to lack of evidence, the complaint did not go to trial and was archived. As for the commentator’s ex-girlfriend, she did not cooperate with the investigation nor did she appear at the PJ for expert examination or questioning.

The order states that “the witnesses interviewed did not witness physical attacks, nor did they report facts that constitute a crime of threat or a crime of insults.
