Mayor Mario Botion, vice-mayor Erika Tank and the Secretary of Health, Vitor Santos, received the flu/influenza vaccine this Monday (25), at the Basic Health Unit (UBS) in Jardim Campo Belo. The immunization campaign began today, in 16 points in Limeira, for priority groups, according to the Ministry of Health. The procedure can be carried out from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 12 pm and from 1 pm to 4 pm.
“Our health teams are prepared to welcome the population to immunization against the flu, which is essential to protect against new variants of the virus. Vaccine is prevention”, emphasized Mayor Mario Botion. “There are 16 health centers available to the people of Limeira to carry out this act of prevention, with all the guidelines and safety of vaccines”, highlighted Erika Tank.
“Initially, the vaccine is targeted at priority groups. Anyone who took the vaccine in 2023 should be immunized again this year, as the vaccine is new and protects against new strains of the virus, which increases the protection of our citizens. With the arrival of cold weather, it becomes even more important to take the vaccine and protect yourself”, highlighted Secretary Vitor Santos.
Flu vaccination will be available at UBSs Abílio Pedro, Aeroporto, Campo Belo, Cecap, Morro Azul, Dores 1, Dores 2, Nova Europa, Nova Limeira, Nova Switzerland, Novo Horizonte, Planalto, Hipólito 1, Vista Alegre and Graminha, in addition to the Specialty Outpatient Clinic at Residencial Rubi. It is necessary to present a photo ID, CPF, proof of residence, vaccination card and SUS Card.
