FIGHTING DENGUE – ACTIONS TAKE PLACE IN VARIOUS NEIGHBORHOODS

Aiming to eliminate the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which transmits dengue fever, Agents to Combat Endemic Diseases (ACE) resumed today (28) the costal nebulization started in Vila Carvalho this week (26).

On another work front, ACE carried out blocking action against insect breeding sites in Chácara Nunes and Jardim Pires I, also on Tuesday (26).

When cases of the disease are confirmed in a certain neighborhood, the City Hall, through the Department of Health, intensifies actions in the area to prevent the spread of the insect.

FIGHTING DENGUE IS EVERYONE’S FIGHT
To be successful in the fight against dengue, it is essential that the entire population participates:
– leaving no standing water;
– do not add containers and utensils that can accumulate water;
– changing pets’ water frequently;
– lining pots and plant plates with soil;
– making sure that there is no standing water in gutters and slabs;
– keeping backyards and land clean;
