The Municipal Health Department (SMS) of Salvador resumes, this Thursday (2/5), from 10am, the application of the dengue vaccine at 80 vaccination points. 187 thousand pre-adolescents and adolescents aged 10 to 14 in the city of Salvador are eligible for immunization.

The return of the immunization strategy against arbovirus occurs after the arrival of a new batch by the Ministry of Health (MS). The capital received 21,994 doses.

THE FLU

After determination by the Ministry of Health, Salvador will extend the flu vaccine to the general population from six months onwards. In other words, in addition to the priority groups, anyone aged 6 months or over will be able to protect themselves against Influenza.

The dose is available in more than 100 health centers, from 8 am to 5 pm. To date, SMS has protected 180,000 people against the disease.

To take the dengue vaccine, you must present the Salvador SUS Card and original document with photo; In relation to Influenza, you need a vaccination card and original document with photo.

The vice-mayor and head of SMS, Ana Paula Matos states that health teams are ready to welcome residents. “We are prepared to apply doses of protection and love to our Salvador residents.
