Lagoa Seca creates mobile vaccination to expand the fight against flu; find out which locations and how to participate

Starting next week, the municipality of Lagoa Seca will have mobile vaccination to expand vaccination coverage against Influenza – the flu virus.

The measure was created by the Department of Health as a new strategy to raise awareness among the population about the importance of immunization and the risks that the flu can cause. Initially, six communities will benefit from the reinforcement of the campaign. The target audience is elderly people over 60 years old, children aged six months to under five years old, pregnant women and women who have recently had a child.

Flying vaccination, as the name suggests, will be an active search for these groups using the sound car, which opens the route by advertising it on the streets and asking people to leave their homes to receive the dose of the vaccine, and behind will be the secretariat car with professionals and supplies.

To get vaccinated, you must present your vaccination booklet and CPF immediately. In cases of disabled people or those with mobility problems, the team goes to the residence. The task force will also be made up of health agents who will work door to door, inviting residents to protect themselves against the flu.

This new feature is being implemented for the first time in Lagoa Seca, so that more people can join the vaccination list and avoid letting the disease spread. The towns of Floriano, Campo do Bahia, Bela Vista, Inácia Leal, São José and Monte Alegre form the itinerary. The service starts at 8am and on different days.
