Do you need to get vaccinated? This Sunday (5), Sesau (Municipal Health Department), in Campo Grande, is promoting a flu vaccination session at Shopping Norte Sul Plaza, located on Av. Ernesto Geisel, in the Jockey Clube neighborhood.
Opening hours will be from 11am to 7pm. This week, Sesau released the flu vaccine for the entire population over six months old.
Municipal Secretary of Health, Rosana Leite, reinforces the importance of vaccination, especially at this time where there is a greater circulation of respiratory viruses, including Influenza.
“Influenza is an acute viral infection that affects the respiratory system, with high transmissibility, global distribution and a tendency to spread easily in seasonal epidemics, and can also cause pandemics”, he explains.
According to Sesau, this year, the vaccine made available by the Unified Health System (SUS) is effective against three types of virus strains in combination: a. A/Victoria/4897/2022 (H1N1)pdm09; B. A/Thailand/8/2022 (H3N2); w. B/Austria/1359417/2021 (B/Victoria lineage), in accordance with Normative Instruction (IN) no. 261, of October 25, 2023, of the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa).
