Aracaju will expand, starting this Wednesday (8), the offer of dengue vaccination sites for children and adolescents between 10 and 14 years old. The information was released by the Municipal Health Department (SMS).

In total, 16 units are offering the vaccine, with the aim of reaching the target audience of 9,833 people, the number of doses sent by the Ministry of Health to the capital of Sergipe.

Join the list of new dengue vaccination sites from this Wednesday, 8th, from 8am to 6:30pm, the Units Hugo Gurgel (Coroa do Meio), Manoel de Souza (Sol Nascente), Oníssimo Pinto (Jardim Centenário) and Dona Jovem (Bairro Industrial). From 8am to 4:30pm, Santa Terezinha (Robalo), Osvaldo Leite (Santa Maria) and Anália Pina (Almirante Tamandaré). From 8am to 4pm, José Augusto Barreto (Japãozinho).

The USFs Augusto Franco (Farolândia), Marx de Carvalho (Ponto Novo), Edézio Vieira (Siqueira Campos), José Calumby (Jardim Centenário), Francisco Fonseca (18 from Forte), Cândida Alves (Santo Antônio), José Machado de Souza (Santos Dumont); and from 8am to 3:30pm, USF Celso Daniel (Santa Maria). All units operate from Monday to Friday.

Vaccine guidelines

The vaccine is administered in two doses and, according to the Ministry of Health, the doses intended for the application of D2 will be sent later, considering the recommended interval of three months to complete the vaccination schedule.

If the child has already taken D1 and has had dengue fever, add 30 days to the time taken to take D2, for example. If you took D1 two months ago, count two months until you take D2. If the child has not started the vaccination schedule and has dengue fever, they must wait six months to take the first dose. It is worth noting that the dengue vaccine cannot be taken together with another vaccine.

To be vaccinated, you must present an identification document, vaccination card and proof of residence in Aracaju which, in the case of children, must be in the name of the responsible adult.
