Pindorama City Hall will promote from Wednesday until Friday, May 8th, 9th and 10th, the so-called “fumacê” in the district of Roberto. According to Mayor Geraldo Felippe Júnior, the measure is due to the high number of cases in the district, in order to protect the population from the disease.
Popularly known as fumace, the product is an insecticide for ultra-low volume (UBV) space application, which combines two molecules (Praletrin + Imidacloprid) and solvents. The fumigant acts by causing excitement in the nervous system of mosquitoes after contact with the insecticide and, subsequently, their death.
For this reason, the mayor of Pindorama highlights that nebulization has already been carried out in Roberto, as well as visits from health agents, provision of doctors and delivery of medicines, but cases are still on the rise.
“For this reason, we managed with the government for the Superintendence of Endemic Disease Control (Sucen) to pass the fumigation on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in Roberto. You have to be careful with birds, animals and bees, keep them locked in a separate room, as well as people allergic to this poison”, says Júnior, who also advises residents to leave windows and doors open so that the poison can enter and do its damage. the desired effect.
To date, according to data from the São Paulo State Monitoring Panel, Pindorama has 358 confirmed cases of dengue and two deaths under investigation until the last update, made on May 5th.
