Woman complains about being filmed in Continente’s bathroom

The case happened late in the afternoon of Thursday, March 14, when Paula (fictitious name) went shopping at Loja Continente, but before that, she went to the bathroom. “On the way, I was passed by a guy who stopped me and passed in front of me in the corridor that gives access to the three bathrooms. The guy went to the middle bathroom, intended for people with mobility difficulties, and that caught my attention, because he didn’t seem disabled and I also saw that he was holding his cell phone in his hand”, he describes.

Seconds after this episode, Paula experienced moments of panic. “I went into the women’s bathroom, started doing my business and suddenly I started to see a shadow under the door and I could see my feet walking very slowly,” she reports. “If it was another woman, I would knock on the door and leave or wait, but that shadow stopped, very slowly, and I had the instinct to look up and I saw a cell phone stopped as if it was recording, I wasn’t taking photos because there was no movement. with your hand,” he says.

His first reaction was to scream for help. “I started screaming and the time it took me to pull up my pants and get ready was enough time for the person to get out of there. I think he must have taken refuge in the disabled bathroom, but when I went to alert the security guard, he ran away,” she says.

Paula even believes that she was not the first victim. “I feel like he’s done this more times, because he knew what he was doing, the delicacy of how he went about the whole process, I wasn’t the first and I supposedly won’t be the last”, he fears.

The woman understands that if she remained silent “this would be forgotten and he would do more and it would be worse.” “I make this complaint, to prevent this, not to let children go alone and even anyone who goes to the bathrooms to be careful , until this situation is resolved”, warns the woman, especially because she adds that the suspect “has been seen daily at Loja do Continente and remains there for long hours”, she says.
