They arrived on the 10th and stayed here for a week. A group of eight German firefighters were in Vila Real for a “knowledge exchange” that culminated in a trip to the field, which VTM accompanied.
“Our objective is to help them understand a little more about rural fires, as it is a reality that is not yet very present in Germany”, says Orlando Matos, commander of the Cruz Branca Fire Department, adding that “we want, above all, , exchange knowledge.”
