A protest march by the National Student Associations and Federative Movements against real estate inflation that affects student housing takes place it is Thursday, March 21st, in Lisbon.
The protest has the motion “Roof and Housing, a Right to Education” and will begin at 2:30 pm, in Rossio, heading towards the Assembly of the Republic.
Transport for all students who want to participate in the cause will be guaranteed by the Coimbra Academic Association (AAC)and you only need to register via a link on Académica’s social networks.
According to the president of the General Board of the Academic Association of Coimbra (DG/AAC), Renato Daniel, the objective of the demonstration is to highlight the problems that higher education students face, in particular, the issue of housing.
O association leader hopes that this movement tease political accountability of the new government is that prioritize these demands in its political actionincluding,compliance with the National Plan for Accommodation in Higher Education (PNAES).
AAB.C expects a mobilization of 2000 students at all the country with 220 to 250 students from Coimbra.
Renato Daniel states that the proposals of the Academic Association of Coimbra have already been delivered and heard in the legislative elections on March 10, through notebook prepared by AAC “For Students, For the Country”.
Transport departures will take place from 9:30 am at the university stadium and are scheduled to arrive at Praça do Rossio at 12 pm.
