Local authority launched the public tender to create a river beach in Oriola

The municipality of Portel may soon have another river beach, namely in the Oriola area.

The Municipality of Portel recently launched a public tender for the creation of a river beach in Oriola, on the banks of the Alvito reservoir.

The procedure now launched has a base value of 458,238 euros and provides for an execution period of 120 days.

According to the information provided, the purpose of the contract is the “construction of the river beach of Oriola, on the banks of Albufeira de Alvito (around 500 meters away from the center of the parish) and whose main works to be carried out are the execution of gravel pavements in the circulation and parking areas for vehicles, the modeling of the terrain and the cleaning of the entire intervention area, including the area submerged by water in order to guarantee the correct use of the bathing area”.

This work also foresees the creation of a “water supply network, which includes the construction of a drinking water supply pipeline, the irrigation network, to meet the needs of green areas, the rainwater drainage network, the supply and placement of sand on geotextile, in the beach area, and topsoil with modeling of the terrain, the supply and application of a route and stay area on wooden “decks”, including the specific construction of accessibility to the beach and the kiosk /bar in a wooden structure and the construction of an access made of clay and clay to connect to the parish”.
