Europacolon Portugal launches its annual campaign to support patients with digestive cancer and will hold the national campaign, from the 5th to the 7th of April, in Faro.

This initiative aims to raise vital funds to sustain the Association’s daily activities and support programs.

Digestive cancer (stomach, intestine, liver, esophagus and pancreas) encompasses a range of devastating conditions that affect thousands of individuals and their families. In Portugal, 32 people die every day and 18,828 new cases appear every year.

“Our mission is to ensure that no cancer patient or their families feel helpless on this challenging journey. The national fundraiser is an opportunity for the community to come together and show solidarity with those facing these debilitating diseases. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant difference in the lives of those affected by digestive cancer”, says Vítor Neves, president of Europacolon Portugal.

The funds raised will be fully dedicated to supporting the Association’s programs, including two telephone support lines (general and dedicated to Informal Caregivers), opportunistic screening for colorectal cancer, in-person and online support groups, educational materials and awareness-raising events.
