The Union of Parishes of Faro will hold, from the 27th to the 31st of March, the 9th edition of the Cheese, Wine and Sausage Fair, which will take place in Jardim Manuel Bivar, in downtown Faro, next to the Dock.

The event is filled with producers from almost the entire country, highlighting the famous cheeses from Serra da Estrela, Serra da Gardunha, Serpa, Borba and Aldeias de Montoito and, of course, a wide range of wines from regions such as Algarve, Alentejo, Bairrada, Beira Interior, Dão and Douro. It should be noted that most of the cheeses present have already won awards in different national and international cheese competitions and tests, which provides this event with a wide range of genuine and quality products.

Throughout these 5 days of the fair, visitors can also find a wide range of traditional sausages, also very well represented, highlighting products originating in Baixo Alentejo and the Serras da Estrela and Gardunha.

The tavern area, as in previous years, will be open to the public at lunchtime, continuing uninterrupted operation throughout the afternoon and until closing at 11pm. Wine lovers will be able to purchase a glass dedicated to the event and browse the stands to taste the different types of wine or take advantage of fair promotions and purchase, in addition to bottles, wine by the glass from their favorite brands.

In total there will be around three dozen stands that will promote and publicize the best that is done in the wine, sausages and cheese sector in different regions of Portugal and also Spain.

With hours between 12pm and 11pm, this initiative is free to enter and the public present can also enjoy some cheese, sausage and wine tastings.
