The District Command of the Public Security Police of Beja, within the scope of its powers to prevent and permanently combat the practice of criminal and administrative offenses, in the period between March 20 and 26, 2024, in its area of jurisdiction, carried out several operations.
In a note sent to our editorial team, the PSP of Beja states that the PSP’s Territorial Competence Squadron, located on Rua D. Nuno Álvares Pereira, also recorded 5 (five) crimes involving threats and attacks, one which occurred next to the Escola de Santa Maria, another at the BP fuel station, another 2 for assaults with robbery followed by the suspects fleeing, in one of the cases after the attacks the value of 600 euros was taken from the victim. 1 crime of domestic violence was also recorded in which the victim activated the panic button after being involved in attacks with her ex-partner.
During this same period, 1 (one) crime of theft of objects inside a commercial establishment was recorded, with the suspect being intercepted and detained for stealing several items worth 183.92 euros; two crimes of theft of objects inside a motor vehicle, in one of which several objects were stolen (including 1 mobile phone), resulting in the value of the theft being 1,700 euros and 5 (five) crimes of fraud/abuse of trust were also recorded, one per computer fraud with misuse of bank details worth 1,310 euros.
As part of Visibility Policing by this PSP, a 24-year-old foreign citizen who had 15 (fifteen) doses of hashish. The suspect was constituted as a defendant and provided an Identity and Residence Certificate.
