Action, the non-food discount store, opens its first store in Entroncamento, Santarém district, today. This is the third Action store in Portugal, less than a month after opening the first, in Vila Nova de Gaia, and the second, in Coimbra.
Starting today, residents of Santarém and everyone who visits the new store can take advantage of the “Fórmula Action”: 6,000 quality products, in 14 categories (namely toys and home products, gardening products, DIY “do it yourself” and food) at the lowest prices.
Action offers a selection of 150 new products every week, ensuring a wide and relevant range to meet the diverse needs and preferences of customers. Action presents 1,500 products that cost less than 1 euro. The average price of all products is less than 2 euros.
“Action feels responsible for continually improving its products, its distribution chain and its CO2 emissions“, he adds in a statement, guaranteeing that the products “are improved by reducing their carbon footprint and increasing their circularity“. 100% of Action’s cotton products and 94% of its wood products already come from sustainable sources. Action hopes to achieve the goal of 100% sustainable supply of wood products by the end of 2024.

With more than 2,500 stores in Europe, Action employs more than 69,000 employees. With the opening of this new store, Action is creating a total of 19 new jobs in Santarém.
With a large parking lot, the new store has 1,091 square meters and is located in Entroncamento, Rua da Caridade, nº 91. The store is open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, from Monday to Sunday.
