ANDThis Thursday something unusual happened in the Azores, due to the passage of the Nelson depression through the region. It snowed on the islands of Terceira, Faial and São Miguel, something that rarely happens.
On social media, several internet users shared images of the moment.
Most of the images were recorded in Serra de Santa Bárbara, parish of Angra do Heroísmo.
In São Miguel, it snowed in Pico da Vara, in the Northeast, and in Faial in Cabeço Gordo, parish of Capelo.
It also snowed on Pico, something that is not that rare anymore, since it is on this island that the highest point in Portugal is located.
