Platform receives internal and external complaints from the Chamber and was also created for parish councils

Carregal do Sal City Council launched a complaints management platform that records situations that occur in the municipality.

The platform was created to comply with the law, but the municipality says that it “is even broader than what is legally imposed” because it allows not only external complaints but also internal complaints.

Internal complaints cover written communications of information about infractions committed within the structure of Carregal do Sal Chamber. External complaints consist of complaints reported to the municipality as the competent authority.

“In both situations, complaints will be made anonymously, and the respective processes will be handled exclusively by the employee designated as complaints manager, appointed by the City Council”, explains the municipality.

The Carregal do Sal Chamber also helped to implement the parish council reporting channels, assuming the costs of their creation. The objective was to ensure and promote “high standards of ethics” in local authorities.

The platform is available on the website cm- Carregal.wiretrust.pt.
