Farense municipality approves proposal to open applications to support associations

The proposal to open applications to support associations in the municipality of Faro 2024 was unanimously approved at a Chamber meeting on March 23rd, the municipality indicated this Monday, April 1st.

“This decision, based on the ‘Amendment to the Regulation of Support for Associations of the Municipality of Faro’ (published in nº2, 35 of the 2nd series of the Diário da República, on 19/02/2018), allows the municipality to allocate municipal funds, namely to legally existing entities and bodies, with a view to carrying out works or holding events of interest to the municipality, as well as information and defense of citizens’ rights and, also, activities of a social, cultural, educational, sporting nature , recreational or other of interest to the municipality”, details the municipality in a statement.

Therefore, as there was a need to trigger the process of granting aid, the opening of the application process was approved, which will take place on the “Associatividade” platform (https://associatividade.cm-faro.pt/), until the end of the month of April.

In this way, “the municipality continues its work to promote the development of the associative fabric in the areas of sport, culture, youth, social and defense of the animal cause, seeking to be an agent in creating a response to their needs and in fulfilling their expectations development, while actively contributing to improving the living conditions of populations”, the note ends.
