Starting tomorrow, April 2nd, World Autism Awareness Day, Torreshopping – Shopping Center in Torres Novas, will have a “Quiet Hour” between 10am and 11am.

The initiative is developed with attention to the more than sixty thousand citizens who suffer from Autism Spectrum Disorder and who, for this reason, do not frequent places with a lot of movement of people due to confusion and high noise.

During “Quiet Hour”, the space will turn off ambient music and provide noise-suppressing headphones, making it a safe and comfortable space for people on the autism spectrum and other sensory sensitivities.

“With this initiative we intend to be closer to our community and provide a safe and comfortable space for everyone (…) reinforcing our commitment to promoting inclusion and awareness”, says Joaquina Romão, Director of Torreshopping.
