GNR records 124 accidents in the last week of March

The Faro Territorial Command of the National Republican Guard (GNR), in the week of March 25th to 31st, the last of the third month of this year, recorded 124 accidentswhich resulted in 22 minor injuries, in addition to material damage.

In the same period, the GNR carried out a series of operations in the district of Faro, in the Algarve region, which aimed to prevent and combat violent crime, road inspection, among others, having detected 428 infractionsof which 91 stand out for speeding.

The GNR also highlights 27 infractions due to lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 15 related to anomalies in lighting and signaling systems, 13 due to improper use of a cell phone while driving, 12 due to lack of civil liability insurance and 6 due to lack of or incorrect use seat belt and/or child restraint system.

In the last week of March, the national security force detained 37 people, highlighting 12 for driving without a legal license, 10 for driving under the influence of alcohol and 10 for drug trafficking. 310 doses of hashish and 60 doses of cocaine were seized.
