The 2024 Supplementary Budget is being discussed at the Funchal Municipal Assembly this Tuesday morning. The president of the Funchal City Council, Cristina Pedra, highlighted the treasury impact that the 2024 Supplementary Budget will have, which means that goes beyond 2024.

Herlanda Amado, from the PCP, recalled that there are legal obligations arising from the law and that there is only an increase in funds related to the participatory budget, saying that the reprogramming of some of these items justifies the urgency of the Assembly. Cristina Pedra responded, stressing that her executive wants to shorten the procedures, remembering the candidacy of 8 companies, none of which were excluded. “We anticipated a month in a very formal procedure”, highlighted the mayor. It has just been approved with majority votes.
