The four finalist restaurants for the Boa Mesa 2024 Revelation Award are now known, a distinction given to recognize gastronomic diversity and quality.
Among the four finalist restaurants is an Alentejano – Restaurante Poda, as stated by Expresso.
Located in Montemor-o-Novo, the restaurant, open for less than a year, stands out for the excellence and quality of the gastronomic offer it presents to customers. The dishes it presents are made with products purchased from small local producers and this is a distinctive feature of this restaurant.
the Restaurant, which is part of the Michelin Guide selection, opened in June 2023 and has been a real success, the responsibility of the chef João Narigueta, who knows the region, its products and the region’s characteristic flavors like no one else.
The Chef teamed up with Miguel Dominguinhos, owner of the space, with whom he was a long-time friend and together they developed this project where the tradition of Alentejo cuisine is king, often adapted in surprising ways.
Migas gatas with cod, “Sargalheta de pesca”, Enxovalhada or spongy sponge cake stuffed with pieces of walnuts, honey and sprinkled with cinnamon, as well as the starters are some of the references of this restaurant that promises customers a unique and unforgettable gastronomic experience.
The winner will be announced on April 8th.
