This past Sunday, March 31st, the gala for TVI’s ‘Big Brother’ took place, led by Cláudio Ramos. Daniela Ventura, 24 years old, did her ‘Curve of Life’ where she spoke only once about Fernando de Matos Mota, her biological father, who abandoned her.
“My mother was Vanessa, who always acted as father and mother. My grandfather was always the father I needed. It hurts a lot to know that my father didn’t want to have me”, began by saying the young woman at the turn of her life, realizing that her mother died of pneumonia when she was just nine years old. What Daniela Ventura had no idea was that her father was present at the TVI gala at the invitation of the program’s production team.
Daniela Ventura’s father was touched by his daughter’s life story, which involved a contract marriage, rape, among other things. “I didn’t know anything about what she said. I still haven’t been able to digest any of it, it was a big surprise, now I understand why she definitely cut it with me. She went to London and cut it, to this day”Fernando told the same publication. “What I heard here today really affected me, I think it will affect the other brothers too, it wasn’t good to hear this”said the father of the competitor who learned about his daughter’s religion at this gala.
“This thing about religion was a surprise for me, that she joined Islam. I respect her and I’m supporting her. As a father I would never want harm from my daughter”said Daniela Ventura’s father, showing himself receptive to his daughter’s new religion.
As for the past, Fernando admits his mistakes and is committed to “fight for her forgiveness [da filha Daniela Ventura]”.“She is growing, I already feel a certain maturity and I believe that when I leave there may be a chance for me. I will continue to insist”concluded Fernando.
