The exhibition “From the Tower to ‘Playing’ since 1989” opens this Tuesday, April 3rd, at 5:30 pm, at the Cândido Guerreiro e Condes de Alte Museum Center.

In 1989, within the context of the cultural heritage conservation program, several courses were launched in various locations in Serra do Caldeirão. One of these courses, promoted by the Institute of Employment and Professional Training and promoted by the In Loco Association, gave rise to the “Da Torre” workshop. “Specializing in the production of wooden toys and jewelry, the workshop, currently staffed by three talented artisans, is a living testament to the success of these training programs,” it said in a statement.

The exhibition aims to portray the evolution and 35 years of history of the workshop, presenting a variety of toys, jewelry and related documentation.

At 6:00 pm, after the inauguration, a publicity and information session will take place on the training program for rural-based entrepreneurship. “The session aims to provide information on how to create, increase and diversify economic activity in rural areas”, he informs.

The exhibition will be open to the public from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
