Portugal with four doubles in the beach volleyball Nations Cup – Volleyball

The Portuguese pairs called up to compete in the preliminary round of the CEV Beach Volley Nations Cup 2024 have been announced

Portugal will be represented by the pairs Beatriz Pinheiro/Inês Castro, Margarida Santos/Carolina Maia, João Pedrosa/Hugo Campos and Gonçalo Sousa/Tomás Sousa in the preliminary phase of the beach volleyball Nations Cup, the federation announced this Wednesday.

The pairs João Pedrosa/Hugo Campos and Gonçalo Sousa/Tomás Sousa will be part of Group D, to be played from May 17th to 19th in the Turkish town of Balikesir, together with representatives from Turkey, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Scotland.

Beatriz Pinheiro/Inês Castro and Margarida Santos/Carolina Maia are part of the women’s Group D, to be played in the Croatian city of Bibinje, from May 10th to 12th, with pairs representing Croatia, Ukraine, Scotland, Hungary and Belgium.

The 2024 edition of the Nations Cup (CEV Beach Volley Nations Cup) gains even more importance as it represents one of the ways through which a country can guarantee a much-coveted presence at the Paris2024 Olympic Games.

Jurmala, Latvia, will host the finals of the Nations Cup, after having hosted the 2017 and 2020 editions of the European Beach Volleyball Championship.
