Jornal de Leiria – Order debates psychology in the SNS at a seminar in Pombal

Psychology in the emergency services of the National Health Service (SNS) will be one of the topics under discussion in the third edition of the Intervention, Crisis, Catastrophe and Emergency Seminar, organized by the regional delegation of the Center of the Order of Portuguese Psychologists, on Saturday, the 6th , at Teatro-Cine de Pombal.

Psychologist Renata Benavente will address the first topic, at 10:15 am, which will make those present reflect on Psychology in NHS Emergency Services: A Possible Reality?.

Afterwards, Eduardo Carqueja, director of the psychology service at Centro Hospitalar de São João do Porto, and Raul Manarte, from Doctors Without Borders, will talk about Crisis Intervention in Multiple Contexts.

At 2:45 pm, Mafalda Esteves, from the Mental Health Office of the Jesuit Refugee Service, and Sílvia Almeida, from InPulsar – Association for Community Development, talk about the second part of Crisis Intervention in Multiple Contexts.

Psychological Care: Intervention in Trauma Situations will be the topic discussed by Rafaela Lopes, from the Celas Health Center, in Coimbra

On Friday, April 5th, between 6pm and 9pm, the workshop in Organization of Theaters of Operationsby Bruno Vaz, national coordinator of the psychosocial support teams of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority, exclusively for Psychologists from the Psychological Intervention in Catastrophe Situations Fellowship of the Order of Psychologists.
