Lisbon – Between 10pm and 11pm, at Praça do Comércio, the show An idea of ​​the future will take place and the video mapping will be shown on April 25th, Thursday. In this audiovisual show, with free entry, six young people take to the stage, drawing a portrait of today’s Portugal and showing the path taken, and 180 musicians (a symphony orchestra, two choral groups and several soloists), who build the soundtrack composed from songs by José Afonso, José Mário Branco, Sérgio Godinho, Fausto, Adriano Correia de Oliveira, Fernando Lopes Graça and Carlos Paredes. In the final part, several guests join the cast to perform the song Abril é Semper Primavera, written especially for the occasion, with lyrics by José Luís Peixoto and music by Luís Varatojo and Filipe Raposo. At midnight, a pyromusical show and a final surprise will light up the sky over the Tagus River.

Santarém – At 9pm, the Practical Cavalry School is the stage for the projection of the video mapping April 25, Thursday, with photographs by Alfredo Cunha and soundtrack by Rodrigo Leão. At 9:30 pm, in the same location, the play Esta é a Madrugada que eu Esperava takes place, a show staged by Rita Lello and text by Coronel Correia Bernardo, one of the captains involved in the Armed Forces Movement, which evokes the night of the 24th and early morning of the 25th of April.

Harbor – From 10pm onwards, the projection of the video mapping April 25th, Thursday. The concert Aliados à Liberdade follows, with stage direction by João Branco and with the participation of Canto Nono, Vozes da Rádio and the Coral de Letras of the University of Porto. Combining voices with poetry, Pedro Lamares and Odete Mosso will also be on stage. This show will end with the singing of Grândola Vila Morena and a fireworks display at midnight.

At Casa da Música, homage is paid to José Afonso, with the show Venham mais 300, in which his work is reinterpreted by an orchestra of more than 300 musicians.

Setúbal – Largo José Afonso, in Setúbal, is the stage, at 10pm, for a concert by Marisa Liz, who invites A Garota Não and Cláudia Pascoal. At the end, the theme Grândola, Vila Morena will be sung with the special participation of the Setúbal Children’s Choir and the TuttiEncantus Women’s Choir.

Leiria – The Festa do Povo brings together, at 10:30 pm, at Largo Paulo VI, Vitorino and Janita Salomé with the Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras.

Portimão – Concert by José Cid, pleas 9pm, at Portimão Arena.

Lisbon – At 9:00 am, the military ceremony will take place in Praça do Comércio, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April, presided over by the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and with the participation of 1,100 soldiers from the three branches of the Armed Forces. The ceremony includes a dismounted parade of the Forces on parade and 200 soldiers equipped for combat, with aircraft flying over, followed by a parade of Army vehicles. At 11:30 am, the Solemn Ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April begins at the Assembly of the Republic. The traditional parade along Avenida da Liberdade is scheduled to begin at 3pm in Marquês de Pombal. At 6:30 pm, the first images collected as part of the Campaign Filmou o 25 de Abril? will be presented at the Cinemateca Portuguesa, which will have made it possible to identify previously unseen amateur images about the revolution. Entrance is free, upon collection of a ticket 30 minutes before the session. At night, at the Tivoli BBVA Theater, Gisela João takes the stage for the show Gisela Canta Abril, in a cross-border collaboration with Spanish guitarist Carles Rodenas Martinez.
