The University of Algarve hosted a face-to-face meeting, on the 16th and 17th of April, as part of the joint master’s program in Port Management and Logistics (MIPMAL).

The main objective of the meeting was to finalize the academic framework of the program and was attended by representatives from partner universities: University of Algarve (UAlg), University of Cádiz (UCA) and University of Gdansk (UG).

On April 16, a field visit to DOCAPESCA, in Olhão, provided valuable knowledge about port operations. Representing DOCAPESCA, Nuno Carradas welcomed the delegation and expressed great interest in receiving students for internships, further strengthening collaboration between industry and academia. The visit included a stop at the Sagres Lota Interpretation Center, thus providing an insight into the region’s maritime industry.

On April 17th, a meeting was held at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia (ISE), on the Penha Campus of the University of Algarve. Representatives from UAlg, UCA and UG participated in person, while colleagues from the University of Malta (UM) joined virtually.
