The Municipality of Nelas is requalifying playgrounds in different locations in the Municipality, with interventions aimed at promoting the well-being and safety of children, providing adequate spaces for their leisure and development.
In Senhorim, two playgrounds were the target of intervention, one in the town of São João do Monte and the other in Igreja (this carried out under a Protocol established with Fábrica da Igreja), with the total replacement of recreational equipment, namely slides, slides with swing, swing, information panel and fence application, for user safety. At the Caldas da Felgueira playground, equipment was also replaced, with a swing, slide, fence, drinking fountain and information panel (the latter two reimbursed within the scope of the Application submitted to PDR 2020 – Village Renewal), thus guaranteeing a renovated and more attractive space for children in this location. It should also be noted that in all these playgrounds, the existing sandpit was replaced.
These requalification works represent a significant investment on the part of the Municipality of Nelas, in terms of the development and improvement of infrastructure aimed at younger children, amounting to 20,000 euros, thus contributing to the promotion of safe spaces suited to the needs of children. , pleasant and conducive to the fun and coexistence of
younger, fundamental moments for healthy and happy growth, in an environment
welcoming for all families.
