The General Assembly of Algarve Tourism Region (RTA)meeting in Faro on Monday, the 22nd, unanimously approved the Activity and Management Reports for the year 2023. It is noteworthy that the entity recorded a positive net result of 991 thousand euros, highlighting its financial solidity and fulfillment of established objectives.
“The approval of accounts by the General Assembly demonstrates the recognition and appreciation of the actions carried out by the entity throughout 2023”, says the president of the RTA, André Gomes. “This positive result is the result of the hard work and dedication of the entire RTA team, also demonstrating rigorous and efficient financial management of resources, despite the budgetary constraints that are imposed on regional tourism entities”he concludes.
The Management Report offers a detailed analysis of the financial and budgetary execution of 2023, highlighting the legal certification of the accounts, the positive equity situation and the control of personnel costs. Its approval reflects RTA’s commitment to aligning itself with the strategic references defined for national tourism.
The General Assembly also approved the Activity Report, which covered a set of actions aimed at consolidating the growth of tourism in the region, with a focus on diversifying the offer, promoting sustainability and valuing cultural and natural heritage
from the Algarve.
It is worth highlighting the promotion of 40 promotional actions for the destination, 11 discussion sessions, participation in four dozen projects, in addition to the attribution of 180 supports for events, more than 330 supports for businesspeople, 1,700 publications on promotional and informative online channels and serving 380,000 visitors in the tourist office network throughout 2023.
“The results obtained demonstrate sustainable regional growth in the main indicators, with the results surpassing the final values of 2022, and highlighting the desired recovery, in line with the rest of the territory”can be read in the document.
