Another important step has been taken towards the implementation of a crucial project for the development of the north of the municipality, with the approval of the Monte Redondo Business Park Regulation (PERM), both by the City Council and the Municipal Assembly.
“This moment is of enormous significance for the Municipality, as we are able to close the Regulations for what will be the largest business park in our municipality and which aims to respond, in a very short space of time, to the various companies that have been waiting too long to expand” , says the Economy councilor, Catarina Louro.
The mayor adds that “taking into account precisely the need for reception areas, we reflect in this Regulation our concerns about preventing real estate speculation and guaranteeing the effective installation of companies in the available lots within the deadlines considered reasonable”.
The document defines the rules for the disposal of lots based on a sustainable business order, as well as the conditions for acquiring and transferring plots and the general management and operation standards of the Park.
The lots will be sold in the form of a public auction, ensuring transparency and the defense of the public interest.
In January, the Municipality awarded the first phase of the infrastructure works for almost four million euros, which, after the 365-day deadline, will provide the PEMR with a road network, water supply networks, domestic wastewater and of rainwater wastewater (in a separative system), signaling, gas, telecommunications and electricity systems, and also landscaping elements.
The PEMR is a relevant element for competitiveness, modernization, planning and territorial development, with the strategic objective of boosting and enhancing the creation of value for the local economy and generating conditions for attracting investment and labor. qualified for the municipality.
