“Law, Sport and Ethics”. This is the theme of the two conferences that the Polytechnic of Viana do Castelo promotes, as part of the first edition of the postgraduate course in Law and Sports, developed by the School of Sports and Leisure of the Polytechnic of Viana do Castelo. The conferences will take place in May and June, at the IPVC Higher School of Technology and Management. Registration is already underway.

The conferences are aimed at graduates in Law, Sports or Physical Education and sports professionals, such as exercise technicians, sports agents, managers or athletes, however, they are open to the general public. The conferences are accredited by the IPDJ.

Participation in the two sessions, which will take place in Viana do Castelo, at the IPVC Higher School of Technology and Management, on May 4th and June 22nd, is free, although registration is required.

“Law, Sport and Ethics” is part of the first edition of the postgraduate course in Law and Sport, which is taking place at the Escola Superior de Desporto e Lazer (ESDL-IPVC).

The first postgraduate degree in Law and Sports dedicates “a special focus on the practical application of several current legal topics and even other more innovative ones, such as training, volunteering, inclusion, arbitration, journalism, sustainability or European programs, considering holistic academic training fundamental for a positive and consolidated evolution of sport”, says the trainer and coordinator of this postgraduate course, Vânia Cruz.

The new model promotes skills for the professional practice of graduates in Law or Sports, Exercise, Sports Science and/or Physical Education technicians, sports agents, managers or athletes through the acquisition of knowledge in the different areas of Sports Law.

The panel of trainers, made up of more than twenty professionals, with national and international recognition, was “scrupulously selected for the unique roles they play in the universe of sports law and which will provide students with a unique experience of personal and professional enrichment. Quality training is crucial to growth, we are certain that to grow we need the best”, concludes the postgraduate coordinator.
