FC Alpendorada begins to discuss next Sunday, April 28th, the promotion play-off of the Elite Division of the Porto Football Association (AFP). The blue and white team will have Aliança de Gandra, SC Coimbrões and FC Leça as opponents.

Calica Moreira, coach of FC Alpendorada, confesses that the “expectations are high” for a final phase that “will be very balanced, which will be decided point by point”.

“I think the team that makes fewer mistakes will have the most advantage. Let’s prepare well to be at a very high level. We really want to move up the division, but we know it’s going to be very difficult,” he said.

Regarding the opponents, the blue and white coach believes that “They are very similar teams”but highlights “FC Leça and Aliança de Gandra”who won series 1 and 2, respectively.

“Leça and Gandra had a great first phase and may have, in this aspect, some advantage, but I think it will be a very balanced final phase and any team could move up to the division”he stressed.

In the first round, FC Alpendorada travels to the stronghold of the emblem of the municipality of Paredes, the opponent by whom it was defeated in the two games played during the regular phase.

Calica Moreira wants, this time, to at least score, remembering that “It’s important not to lose”but emphasizes that the team “I really want to win”.

President Américo Costa has the same opinion, who admits that a draw in Gandra could be “a positive result” for FC Alpendorada. “But we’re going there thinking about victory”he reinforced.

Américo Costa guarantees that the entire structure of the blue and white club “you are confident” in achieving a return to national competitions.

“I’m confident, and it couldn’t be any other way, because I believe in the coach, the squad and the entire structure behind the team. We have everything we need to reach the nationals. If we evaluate, perhaps, of all the clubs at this stage, we are the one with the best conditions, in terms of infrastructure, to reach the nationals”he said.
