Ponte de Lima has a new logo

Ponte de Lima launched a new “territorial image and identity”, the City Council announced today.

According to the municipality, the new logo “reinforces the identity and recognition of this iconic town as a unique and differentiating territory”.

“The new image is the result of a territorial, global and integrated branding project, presenting itself as a solution that aims to value and promote the name of Ponte de Lima in its memory, in its present, but above all in its future”, note.

And he adds: “Valuing intangible heritage, enhancing medieval architectural identity and richness; giving greater visibility to the emotional connection between Vila de Ponte de Lima and D. Teresa, as well as systematizing the ecosystem of brands and sub-brands of Ponte de Lima in its public dimension, is the mission of this new, modern and attractive image that reflects the dynamism and potential of the municipality”.

Its implementation will be “gradual and evolutionary depending on opportunities for change”, in order to “optimize resources and processes, avoiding duplication and waste”.

Therefore, the Chamber warns that. for some time, “coexistence between the current and future image context will be inevitable”.

However, the transition should be completed in March 2025, on the occasion of the 900th anniversary of the granting of the charter to Ponte de Lima.

“We believe we are an added value for Ponte de Lima, attracting investment and tourism, boosting its economic and social development, as well as establishing an emotional connection with residents and visitors, highlighting local values ​​and traditions”, concludes the municipality, in statement sent to newsrooms.
