Gastronomy and local products at the Vinha d’Alhos Festival in Oliveira de Frades

This Friday, the Pedre Environmental Park will be inaugurated. Initiative features gastronomy, music, dance, sports, local products, crafts and inflatables

The Ribeiradio Multipurpose Pavilion, in Oliveira de Frades, hosts the fifth edition of the Vinha d’Alhos Festival this weekend.

The gastronomic, cultural and sporting initiative features food, music, dance, sport, local products, crafts and inflatables.

The festival starts in the late afternoon of this Friday (April 26th), at 7pm, and will continue until Sunday (28th). At the same time as the opening, the Pedre Environmental Park will be inaugurated, located in the village of the same name, next to the Ribeiradio reservoir.

The opening of the festival takes place at 8pm and features a performance by the São Vicente de Lafões Drum Group. At 10pm, TudoJunto Band plays.

On Saturday (27th), the afternoon will be filled with performances by children from Ribeiradio Elementary School and Kindergarten and rhythmic dance. At 10pm, Grupo Musical 3D performs, which continues with the concert after the concert by João Claro and Benvinda Costa (scheduled for 11:30pm).

The Vinha d’Alhos Festival ends on Sunday with the usual football game between singles and married couples at 10:30 am and performances by Banda Marcial Ribeiradiense (3:30 pm) and Rancho Folclórica de São João da Serra (4:30 pm).

Promoted by the Ribeiradio Parish Council and several local communities, the event has the support of the Oliveira de Frades Chamber.
