CIMAC promoted an Information Session on “Integration and Inclusion of Migrants”

-

On April 11th, the Intermunicipal Community of Central Alentejo (CIMAC) promoted an information session entitled “Integration and Inclusion of Migrants”, aimed at Technicians and Elected Members of the Municipalities of Central Alentejo.

The number of migrants in Portugal has been growing in recent years, with this increase also being recorded in Central Alentejo, which brings to the territory a set of challenges and opportunities that need to be identified and worked on, in order to create policies reception and integration places.

The first part of the session included the presentation of Local Policies for the Reception and Integration of Immigrants, by the Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum – AIMA, and the presentation of the Fund Program for Asylum, Migration and Integration – FAMILY.

The session ended with a sharing of good practices, through the testimony of the Municipality of Santarém and the Local Support Center for the Integration of Migrants (CLAIM) of Beja.
