The Intermunicipal Community (CIM) Viseu Dão Lafões and the Chamber of Castro Daire will restore a historic building in the center of the town and transform it into a coworking center (shared work spaces). The project was already delivered this Monday (April 29) and deserves an investment of more than 115 thousand euros.
The building is next to Solar dos Mendonça, built in the 18th century and immortalized by the writer Camilo Castelo Branco in the novel “Amor de Perdição”, and will now be requalified in an investment supported by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
According to CIM Viseu Dão Lafões, the objective of the work is to create in Castro Daire “a coworking space, which will provide the most modern equipment and technological conditions necessary for businesspeople, entrepreneurs, startups and all workers who choose to telework in this territory ”.
The value of the project is around 115,605 euros, plus VAT, and the expected execution period is six months. This is the second building recovery project promoted this year by CIM. In Vila Nova de Paiva, a former primary school it is also being transformed into a coworking space.
