Maria Cerqueira Gomes is the protagonist of a secret documentary. Premiere happens soon – Television

After Pinto da Costa, there is another Porto figure starring in a documentary for the Prime Video streaming platform. MAGG found that Maria Cerqueira Gomes will star in a documentary film about her daily life.

The documentary is expected to premiere at the end of May or beginning of June on the Prime Video streaming platform. Production is in charge of ¡HOLA! Media, which belongs to the same group as the well-known Spanish society magazine. The audiovisual division of ¡HOLA! has already produced documentary films about Princess Leonor of Asturias, influencer Grace Villarreal, the Dukes of Sussex, Harry and Meghan, and also about football players’ wives.

Maria Cerqueira Gomes is the first Portuguese protagonist of one of these episodes, which are not available on Portuguese Prime Video. Although the professional side is the focus of the film, it will also show the daily life of Maria Cerqueira Gomes, between Lisbon and Porto, her hometown, and reveal a little of her more personal side. MAGG knows that the eldest daughter of the TVI presenter, Francisca Cerqueira Gomes, digital influencer and model, will also appear.

At 40 years old, Maria Cerqueira Gomes is one of the faces of the Queluz de Baixo station. She began her career at Porto Canal and, in November 2018, she was hired by TVI to present “Você na TV!” alongside Manuel Luís Goucha, after Cristina Ferreira left for SIC. It presented formats such as “A Tua Cara Não me é Estranha”, “Uma Canção Para Ti”, the reality shows “O Amor Happen” and “Marriage Marked” and, since 2021, it has presented the Saturday afternoon format “Em Família” to next to Ruben Rua.

The 40-year-old presenter’s personal life has been the subject of news in both Portugal and Spain, as she has been dating Spanish bullfighter Cayetano Rivera for around a year. Maria has two children: Francisca, 21 years old, from her relationship with Gonçalo Gomes, and João, 6 years old, from her relationship with António Miguel Cardoso.

MAGG contacted Naughty Boys, the agency that represents Maria Cerqueira Gomes, who declined to comment on this new development in the TVI presenter’s life.

Prime Video has increasingly invested in the Portuguese market and in partnerships with national channels. RTP was one of the partners in the series “Operação Maré Negra”, which had three seasons and, currently, TVI and Prime Video already have three more seasons in progress of the youth series “Morangos com Açúcar”, in addition to the summer series, which has already been recorded and should be shown soon on both the generalist channel and the streaming platform.

Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa, resigning president of FC Porto, was the first Portuguese to be the protagonist of a Prime Video documentary series. “Mr. President – The Championship of a Lifetime” premiered on March 15th.
