Queima das Fitas de Oliveira do Hospital promises to be “unforgettable”

At the gates of another Queima das Fitas de Oliveira do Hospital, the student community at the Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão de Oliveira do Hospital (ESTGOH) has “great expectations”. Being the “first for some and last for others”, the Student Association (AE) worked hard to create the poster to please young people who are waiting for “good nights” at Parque do Mandanelho.

From the 1st to the 4th of May, the city’s main green lung opens to welcome students, and the population of Oliveira is also “invited” to join the party, as Marcela Ribeiro says.

In an interview with Boa Nova Radiothe president of AE and 3rd year student of the Accounting and Management degree says that “the doors open at 10:30 pm and anyone who wants to show up is very welcome”.

With a general ticket of 15 Euros, a weekend ticket for 10 Euros and daily tickets for 5 to 7 Euros, names such as Luís Pinheiro, Edgar Marquez, Augusto, Gonçalo Martins, MC Gomes, Nunna, Armenio Minhoca and DJ Fausto.

With the support of the Municipal Council of Oliveira do Hospital and ESTGOH, the Student Association has “many expectations” regarding the initiative that marks the academic life of any student.

Oliveira do Hospital had no “charm” on the first day, but now, almost at the “time of farewell”, it is certain that the city won the heart of Marcela Ribeiro, who came from Paços de Ferreira thinking she had been placed in Coimbra. It is not the only case and it certainly will not be the last. However, according to the 22-year-old, “the love, affection and the people of Oliveira” immediately win over the students who, for the first time, arrive at Oliveira do Hospital and who end up making “friends for life”.

Integrating students into the student community, improving the functioning of the AE itself and giving a new direction to the Student Association were some of the objectives proposed by the governing bodies that took office on December 8th.
