Before the beach calls everyone to the Algarve, there are more reasons to head south. At Pine Cliffs Resort, until the end of May you can enjoy the gastronomic experiences of another edition of the Chef’s Table event. Each dinner has a menu designed by chef host, composed of six moments and wine pairing. Take the opportunity to sleep at the hotel and in the morning enjoy breakfast and the view from the cliff.This is the third edition of Chef’s Table and runs until May 31st. The first dinner was in charge of the chef Arnaldo Azevedo, responsible for the Vila Foz restaurant, a space with a Michelin star. The next one will be on May 3rd with the chef Alexandre Silva, repeating the event and who will bring the cuisine from his Fogo and Loco spaces (with a Michelin star).From the first dinner onwards we can guarantee that you will not be disappointed. The 195 euros includes wine pairing and the experience begins with the welcome drink in the outdoor space of the MIMO Algarve restaurant. From 8pm until close to midnight, let your taste buds travel through the suggestions of the chef, knowing that everything will be enjoyed in an intimate way – the event is open to a maximum of 26 people. It usually takes place in MIMO’s outdoor patio, next to the lemon trees. The cool weather, however, took the first dinner indoors.Let’s take it as amuse-bouche this first dinner of the new season. O chef Arnaldo Azevedo presented some of his signature dishes such as cockles à Bulhão Pato (with edible shell), spider crab, prawn from the coast and moqueca sauce and also octopus, onion, Bísaro pork belly and feijoada sauce. For dessert there was sheep’s cheese, praline and tamarillo, in a very floral and delicate plating. A menu that chef It took “about two to three days” to prepare. This first moment was also marked by an emotional connection: Arnaldo Azevedo began his professional life at Pine Cliffs 16 years ago. He returned in 2024 to be the first star of the third edition of Chef’s Table. “It had a special flavor because I had already been working here. Returning to the place where I started to take my first steps as a professional is always an added value and it’s spectacular to meet people again and be able to come here now, in a different way, to have dinner”, he admitted to SATURDAY.In addition to Alexandre Silva, on May 3rd, the other two moments of the event will feature the chef Rui Paula, from Casa de Chá Boa Nova (two Michelin stars), on May 17th, and with Benoît Sinthon, from Il Gallo D’Oro (with two Michelin stars and one Michelin green star), on May 31st.For those who are not at dinner, but are at Pine Cliffs, there is the opportunity, the day after the event, to choose a fish dish from chef host at the O Pescador restaurant.
