The show that marks 50 years of the 25th of April and one year of the Apollo Auditorium, in the community of the village of Pêras Ruivas, five kilometers from Ourém, is already sold out. With text and direction by Dora Conde, it is presented at night by the Apollo Theater Group, starting at 9:30 pm.

Once upon a time there was a country features interpretation by Dora Conde, Luís Costa, Sónia Costa and Tatiana Pedro, the light and sound are in charge of Fábio Vieira. The piece appears this Tuesday with a new look, compared to its premiere in 2022.

“The text took on another dimension”, comments Dora Conde. It addresses “the condition of women before the 25th of April and the achievements that were achieved with freedom”, through the voices of three characters, all female.

Despite being linked to the celebrations of the Carnation Revolution, the show “has the potential” to circulate beyond today and the month of April, considers the director. “Pcan be in constant construction, the narrative allows for added dynamics”.

Then, at 10:30 pm, the Apollo Theater Group celebrates the first anniversary of the Apollo Auditorium, a renovation project that transformed the previous room at the Pêras Ruivas Cultural and Recreation Center into a space with better conditions for the public and artists.
