In the usual commentary space on SIC Notícias, José Miguel Júdice highlights, this week, the controversial statements made by Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa at a dinner with foreign journalists in Lisbon, last week.
The SIC commentator remembers that, when Marcelo began his term, he was convinced that he would be the “best President of the Republic”. José Miguel Júdice began early on, however, to check for “too many mistakes” and today he has no doubts:
“I’m very sorry to say, he’s already won the championship for the worst President of the Republic”, he points out.
Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa said, last Tuesday, that the new prime minister has “rural behaviors” and that António Costa was “slow” because he is oriental. He also came forward, at dinner with the Foreign Press Association in Portugal, with a proposal to compensate the former Portuguese colonies, which has received much criticism.
