The Mealhada Chamber will launch a contract for the construction of small squares in Lendiosa, parish of Casal Comba. The base price is 125 thousand euros (+VAT) and the execution period is 150 days.
The project aims to requalify Rua da Escola, in Lendiosa, with the construction of two raised squares, which will be spaces for the coexistence of various functions, in which people want to be prioritized. It includes the delimitation of areas suitable for different uses using different materials, but does not impede the full use of the entire space by all users, whether pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, individually or in groups. The work includes paving, signage and redesign of the rainwater drainage system.
“This involves the requalification of yet another central area in Lendiosa so that the space can be co-inhabited by pedestrians, cyclists and motorists. It is fully part of our policy of reconverting urban spaces, making them appealing to residents and visitors”, highlights António Jorge Franco, president of the Municipality of Mealhada.
