Mala Vida | Artistic Residency | theater (public presentation)
“Mala Vida” is a dramaturgical experience composed of stories of different Brazilian and South American characters. They are ordinary people with sad stories, marked by the challenges of living in countries whose economic structure is guided by the oppression and unscrupulous exploitation of the working class. Based on their particularities, the reports intersect and coincide at meeting points that reflect, at the same time, cultural similarities and differences between Latin American regions, and their models/forms of exercising power over the last decades.

In a society where social inequality is not always truly recognized, can the construction of a persona give voice to this question, giving visibility to invisible or barely visible minorities in our society?
Under the sign of crab with Scorpio ascendant, Goretí has been a persona in permanent construction for more than a decade, having participated to this day in plays, performances, television films and happenings. He worked with other creators from different artistic areas and nationalities, such as Portugal, Spain, Czechia and Cape Verde.
It is from this collection that this show arises, in which we seek to metamorphose life into art, lies into truth. Going back to the primordial teachings of the signs of theater making, without neglecting contemporaneity, I propose a show that operates and challenges both scenic boundaries such as theater and performance as well as aesthetic boundaries, image, sound, light and music. The theater-performance show Goretí – an old innocent child it talks about women, their courage and their loneliness. Based on real testimonies, the difficulties of migration are approached from a female point of view, through the mother’s eyes.

Under the Eye | Artistic Residency | Dance (public presentation)
Faithful to our vocation in a gesture that demands humanization, a new contribution to the democratization of culture: “Under the Eye” aims to publicize and promote projects by emerging artists – regardless of age. We have again launched an Open Call (selected project now destined for the Dance/Movement area) with the aim of providing its visibility, creating bridges that serve to connect banks, showing what is worth keeping an eye on and not missing out on View; an organic unity, complementarity, sharing, feelings and identities that are stimulated in the continuation of the construction of a show/exercise developed between the 17th and 21st of June in the Rehearsal Room, and a public presentation on the 22nd of June, in the same space.
