The Faro City Council (CMF), through its Tourist Promotion Division, will be present, for the first time, at the International Fair “Expovacations”which takes place in Bilbao Exhibition Center, Spain. The event takes place between May 10th and 12thparticipating, the municipality, with a stand personalized, in the space of the Algarve Tourism Region.
Expovacaciones is the main annual tourism fair in the capital of the Basque Country, aimed at the consumer public, at which travel agencies, hotels, activity companies dedicated to nature, gastronomy and other tourist products from different countries will be present, enabling visitors to obtain information about the various tourist destinations, so that you can choose the location for your summer holidays or any other season of the year.
After its presence at the B Travel fair, in Barcelona, in March, CMF’s participation in Expovacaciones aims to reinforce the presence of the Faro destination in the main Spanish tourism fairs, mainly in cities with direct air connections, such as Bilbao and Barcelona, with weekly flights between the two airports and Faro International Airport. In this way, the municipality’s main tourist products are promoted, providing information about the existing offer and affirming the territory as a district capital city, with Heritage – material and immaterial (history, nature, gastronomy, cultural programming and events throughout all year round) – as an added value and attractiveness factor.
